A proven grassroots leader, former Member of County Assembly for Karau Ward, Agricultural Economist, and public servant committed to accountable leadership and meaningful development for the people of Ol Kalou.
Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru, widely known as Kamau Ngotho, has dedicated more than a decade to serving the people of Ol Kalou.
Born and raised in Nyandarua County, Sammy understands the challenges facing farmers, business owners, young people, families, and community institutions because they are the same challenges he has lived alongside throughout his life.
His leadership journey began in 2013 when residents elected him as the first Member of County Assembly for Karau Ward following the introduction of county governments under Kenya's Constitution.
Since then, he has remained committed to grassroots leadership, public service, and the belief that leadership should always remain close to the people.
Today, he seeks to serve Ol Kalou Constituency as Member of Parliament under the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), carrying forward a vision of accountable leadership, opportunity, and community-driven development.
For more than ten years, I have walked with the people of Ol Kalou as a leader, neighbour, and servant of the community.
From serving as the first MCA for Karau Ward to working at the national level in the Office of the Deputy President, I have learned one important lesson: real development happens when leaders remain accountable to the people they serve.
I am running for Member of Parliament because I believe our constituency can achieve more through stronger support for farmers, greater opportunities for young people, improved infrastructure, quality education, and transparent leadership.
This campaign is not about one individual. It is about the future of Ol Kalou.
Be part of the campaign for accountable leadership and community-driven development in Ol Kalou. Every voice matters. Every ward counts.
