About Sammy

A Leader Rooted in Ol Kalou

Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru, widely known as Kamau Ngotho, has dedicated more than a decade to serving the people of Ol Kalou.

Born and raised in Nyandarua County, Sammy understands the challenges facing farmers, business owners, young people, families, and community institutions because they are the same challenges he has lived alongside throughout his life.

His leadership journey began in 2013 when residents elected him as the first Member of County Assembly for Karau Ward following the introduction of county governments under Kenya's Constitution.

Since then, he has remained committed to grassroots leadership, public service, and the belief that leadership should always remain close to the people.

Today, he seeks to serve Ol Kalou Constituency as Member of Parliament under the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), carrying forward a vision of accountable leadership, opportunity, and community-driven development.

Why I Am Running

Kaba Ihinda Ria Ngai

For more than ten years, I have walked with the people of Ol Kalou as a leader, neighbour, and servant of the community.

From serving as the first MCA for Karau Ward to working at the national level in the Office of the Deputy President, I have learned one important lesson: real development happens when leaders remain accountable to the people they serve.

I am running for Member of Parliament because I believe our constituency can achieve more through stronger support for farmers, greater opportunities for young people, improved infrastructure, quality education, and transparent leadership.

This campaign is not about one individual. It is about the future of Ol Kalou.

"Together, we can build an Ol Kalou that creates opportunity, protects dignity, and works for every resident." — Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru

The Agenda

Priorities for Ol Kalou

📚
Education for Every Child in Ol Kalou
Every child in Ol Kalou deserves a fair start. We will push for an accessible bursary programme so no student drops out due to lack of fees. Every child transitioning from Grade 6 to Grade 7 will receive a full school uniform — no family left behind at that crucial step.
🛣️
Infrastructure That Works for Residents
Good infrastructure is the foundation of a working constituency. We will advocate for better roads, clean water access, improved public facilities — and push for electrification to reach rural areas of Ol Kalou that have waited long enough.
💡
Opportunities for All
Ol Kalou's people deserve more than promises. We will support youth entrepreneurship, skills development, and employment pathways. Inua Jamii social protection will be made available to all parents who qualify — because a supported family is a stronger community.
👂
Accessible Leadership, Always
Residents of Ol Kalou should never have to chase their MP. We will maintain open ward-level meetings, a clear complaints channel, and a leadership presence felt in every corner of the constituency — not just during campaigns.
